Harold Fields Speaks on Slave Trade

 Harold Fields will be speaking to Columbine United Church's JustFaith groups on Wednesday December 1, 7:00-9:30 p.m. in the Parlor.  Harold will speak after an abreviated version of Traces of the Trade.

 

Columbine United has graciously invited all interested St. Andrew JF grads.  If you haven't seen Traces of the Trade (http://www.tracesofthetrade.org/synopsis/) or heard Harold Fields or even if you have, both are worth seeing again and again.

Step Up to Action - 2nd Annual JustFaith Graduate Gathering

Begin Your JustFaith Action Journey

The Colorado JustFaith graduate community is very excited about the upcoming Second Annual Graduate Gathering to be held from 1:00 PM to 5:15 PM at Regis University Chapel on September 18, 2010.  The keynote speaker is Colorado Senator, The Honorable Morgan Carroll. In keeping with the theme of Step Up To Action, breakout sessions will be available in five different areas to acquaint attendees with what is being
done locally to help people in need. Each attendee may attend two session where they will have the opportunity to ask questions, collect information, and find out how they can Step-Up to be a part of these ministries. The topics being presented and the session facilitators are:

* Eco-Justice - Peter Sawtell
* Homelessness - Randle Loeb
* Immigration - Jennifer Piper
* Prison Ministries - Vie Thorgren
* Church Organization - Doug McKinney

Legacy Land Trust Picnic & House Concert at Grant Family Farms!!

 

Join LEGACY LAND TRUST   & GRANT FAMILY FARMS for   The Best Summer Celebration Ever!   August 7, 2010, 3-7 pm - ORDER TICKETS NOW!   Join us for a convergence of great local organic food from the Farm, local beverages, live music (Blackbird and Sam Kunkle) auctions, games for kids, farm tours, and guest author, James Galvin - all for the benefit of northern Colorado land conservation!   CSA and Legacy Land Trust members sponsoring the picnic have much in common. We believe in enjoying and supporting high-quality locally grown food that supports the local economy.   Legacy Land Trust preserves some of the great local agricultural lands that grow our food. Workshop at Loretto Spirituality Center

Dear Friends,

 

Reminder that on Saturday, August 7, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Loretto Spirituality Center, we will be presenting a Symposium entitled, AWAKENING THE DREAMER, CHANGING THE DREAM.  This workshop will challenge you to a new way of thinking about an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on Earth.  Because I had read a lot about ecology and attended workshops, I thought that I would not get much out of this workshop.  To my surprise, I came away with a deeper sense of spiritual connection with the poor in third world countries and the importance of sustaining our environment for the world and all its peoples.
